anyone know if the surging issue was found to be standard on the '09 LS3 with vette air and a stock/attack blue set up? looking to add the vette air on my 09 but want to rule out/find out if the surging issue has been taken care of. thank for your input.

The Attack Blue will surge sometimes. It seems to need a baffle to help the problem. Most of the after market filters have a closed end facing the Vette-Air(aka baffle),and usually don't have problems with surging. I kept my orginal filter, and had no problems.

It's an air scoop that sets in behind your grill and deverts air into your intake. It's a well built item, a simple concept, and will not lighten your billfold near as much as some items. Do a 'search' and you will get more info, and actual pictures on it's mounting. 'Myhardtop' on the forum sells them. I have one, and really like it.

The vette air blow straight into the stock opening and probably causes turbulance
Airaid or Halltech are not open right in front of the vette air scoop
its all in the part throttle. fist you make it go to closed loop sooner, and you change the fuel on the part throttle to get it closer to the 0%. Texas Speed has seen this happen alot with vetts.
