Default Need Help w/fan switch

To the Mods I accidently posted this in the wrong section, I will go back & try to deleat it...

I race my car (drag) and after a run when I'm in the lanes I want to cool the engine ASAP... I bought a 3 way switch that I can turn the fan on "HI" or "LO" with the motor off..

I forgot where I got it but it works like a charm, I can turn my fan on Hi or Lo while the engine is off....

My problem is "I'm an OLD FART" and sometimes forget to turn it off unless i stay with the car....

It seems to me that the fan is run off some kind of "relay" switch as it takes 2-3 sec to start after I turn it on either Hi or Lo....

What I want to do is hook up a small red light to the switch so when the fan is running the RED light will be lit & I wont forget it...

This WAS done by an Audio shop on my 96 C4 but they have since moved out of state...

The switch I have now was made specifically for a C6 as it matches the other dash switch's, and it is "plug & play" I just plugged it in the fan wiring and mounted the switch in the "tombstone" on my 05 console...

I have tried to wire a small light into the switch but it will not light up...

I'm sure it must have something to do with the relay that turns on the fan..

Anyone got any suggestions... I also ordered an electric water pump so I can do the same run the water pump while the engine id OFF...

With my 96 using this set up I was able to lower the engine temp from 210 to 150 in less than 6 or 7 min by running the electric water pump & fan...

Thanks for any tips... if anyone has any?
