Inner Fender Panel
Can anyone tell me what the purpose is for the inner fender panel in the pictures below? This is the panel you can see thru the vent in the front fenders. I have one that is loose and the double sided tape needs to be replaced on but I'm inclined to just remove the pair of them. Do I need these?

Ken I went out and looked at mine thats off the car and it appears to be nothing more than a black out trim to keep you from seeing all the ugly behind the fender. Nothing else attached to it and doesn't go anywhere.

Thanks Robert....I have Racemesh Grills in the vents so I'm not concerned with the cosmetic issue. I just wanted to be sure there isn't some structural purpose for these. I wouldn't think so because they are attached in 2 of the 4 spots with doublesided tape.
Anyone have any ideas as to whether these have some purpose as an airflow baffle of some type?
