You can go to a FAST, or, you can have your stock intake ported. There are a couple of reputable guys on the forum that specialize in intake porting, which is about a quarter of a FAST intake. I have an 07' and I had my intake ported and got very good results.

I picked up about a tenth of a second at the track with a ported LS2 intake from LS2Portworks but that was with a cam, headers and Vararam so you'd probably see less of a difference but still possibly noticeable.

There are several mods that I like to think of as being "complementary" in that they don't do a whole lot on their own but do help increase the performance of other mods like heads and cams, as an example.

My heads and cam are stock, but have CAI, ported TB, TB spacer, ported intake, ZO6 exhaust system and a tune. Together, they gave me 40 RWHP. 1/8 mile times went from 8.65 to 8.3.
will the z06 exhaust manifolds bolt up to the base c6 cats? and if you need the z06 cats will those bolt up to the corsa xpipe?
thanks
The ZO6 exhaust manifolds are bolt up, and you will need the ZO6 exhaust gaskets and cats as well. The collector for the ZO6 exhaust manifold is rectangular and very large where the LS2 is 2.5" and round. You will also need to unravel the O2 sensor slack from the wiring harness to reach the back sensors. (DO NOT SPLICE THIS CONNECTION) Now, you NEED a 3" "H" or "X" pipe to connect to the 3" pipes coming from the cats. My car is automatic and the ZO6 3.0" over the axle pipes on the drivers side don't clear the transmission. On a manual transmission, it will. What I did was use a ZO6 "H" pipe and necked it down to 2.5' with a flomaster adapter just before the axle pipes. I welded the OEM 2.5" axle pipes to ZO6 bimodal mufflers. The inlet for these mufflers is 2.5" from the factory. The set up worked well for me.
