Default Potential Problems - Used Sway Bars?

Well, for some reason the search function won't let me search for anything relevant to my question (e.g. “used”), but...

What are the potential issues that might arise from used sway bars? I've never heard of the bars messing up on any of my friends' cars, even the hard-driven ones. I'm assuming these would only be LONG-term issues way down the road if anything at all?

I’m going to have some put on in a week or two with some other parts. I know the new Z51 bars are only $200 + shipping, but for half the price I can get take-offs and skip the whole shipping game.

Thanks as always.

Let's assume for a minute that sway bars totally die at 200K miles (they don't) and you get used ones that already have 100K of use. The question you need to ask yourself is: Am I going to drive my car another 100K after I put those high mileage sways on?

The bigger question is where to find a 100K mile car to get the sways from.

Your reassurance is all I need.

Sway bars rarely fail, they don't have any moving parts. They act like a torsion bar on one side of the suspension.

But the end links on sway bars fail fairly often.

I have a C6Z front bar I'm looking to part with if you're interested. Comes with the Pfadt bushings as well. Yes, it's used.

Shoot me a PM.
