Ok, so I bought an 08 loaded CRM coupe brand new and after a month the (passenger side only) window started acting freaky and would go up and down and up and down the last few inches right at the top.. That went away for the longest time until now.. I was caught in a rain storm and when I arrived I noticed that the door pad (handle) on the passenger side did not respond to opening the door and was water logged feeling.. It dried out and the door handle would again open the door from the outside, but the window going up and down that last few inches from the top started happening... Anyway ever heard of an issue like that??
Yup, door entry pads. Known issue, there is a TSB if your car is in warranty and you want to take it in. They will replace both switch pads. If however, you are like the member in this thread and don't want to take your car to the dealer then you can probably fix the switches yourself in 30 minutes or less. Check this thread, I posted the TSB and later the DIY fix:
Hey guys! I had my '08 at the dealer Monday and they left both my parking lights and flashers on until my battery was completelty dead. My fob wouldn't even open the door.
Now my driver's side window when exiting the car will not go all of the way back up? Did their "jump box" do something to my car? I'm a new vette owner and could use your input!
Thanks,
Gary
Thank you all soooo much, I will try this for sure, cause I was freaking dreading the whole DEALER EXPERIENCE and some dude that doesn't care that he has grease and grime climbing all in my cashmere leather interior. Maybe I am just picky???

Anytime the battery dies or is disconnected the windows have to be re-indexed.
After a power reconnect such as battery replacement, the window index-up feature will not function until the system is initialized.
Once power is restored:
1. Close the door.
2. Raise the windows and hold the switches up for three seconds after the window is closed.
3. Release the switches, then hold the switches up again for three seconds and release.
