A friend dropped off his car at my place for me to do some minor work for him (raise the front ride height, change to a 160 stat, adjust fans to turn on sooner and at a higher speed).
The car is supercharged and the spec twin was put in for durability.
The clutch pedal as reported by so many does take some getting used to in that it engages higher than the stock clutch. It is maybe 20% more effort to push the pedal down but this is in comparison to the soft-as-a-honda stock LS7 and LS2.
As far as chatter: there isnt any. It has a positive engagement but it doens shake or shudder the car at all. I can actuall engage the clutch without giving it gas without chatter. The clutch was broken in well. Going too aggressive for the first few days can lead to chatter on any clutch. I recomend break ins in a parking lot with a bunch of 1st and 2nd gear soft shifts. I broke in a spec 3 with 100's of starts in a parking lot and it rewarded me with LS7 smoothness for its life.
I would have no issue with living with this clutch. I have one new in the packaging and thought it was overkill but seeing as how it engages so well, I am sorry I bought a LS9 twin. Live and learn...........
