I have an 08 LS3 A6. I did a base line dyno run just to see the only mod i have is the killerbee intake with beehive and cut shroud for ram air. No tune. My car put down 383 rwhp through an auto at 94degree outside temp are those good numbers.
My tuner also said my car was very rich and simply by leaning it out and no other mods I could gain 20 hp. I have LG superpro longtubes without cats 3inch all the way into the LG GT4 catback going on within the next two weeks. Do you think its possible to see over 420 rwhp with the headers and a tune added.
All the bone stock '08 A6's I can remember here were in the mid 370's to low 380's, so your CAI number is about right. I don't think you can expect much, if any, gain from a CAI on a dyno. Just no ram effect. If it is real rich, which most are, then will see an increase with just a tune but I don't think you'll get that 20hp number.
With the long tubes, exhaust and tune, I think you will probably be real close to that 420.
You will get more knowledgeable folks chiming in during the day and night. So just be patient. You might also ask over in the Scan and Tune Forum. There might be more folks in there to give you a quicker answer. Good luck.
I am at 435 rwhp with kooks headers and catted pipes, vararam CAI, tune, and Ported Throttle body by lingenfelter, NPP exhuast open. My baseline was 375rwhp. You should hit 420rwhp. I read a post a few months ago and about 15 people with the setup were between 410 and 430 depending on NPP exhaust and what dyno they were on.
