Do the removable top (non FRC/Z06) cars have problems with the top popping off or things being misaligned after a few hard launches on a tire? I know the F-bodies had this issue without subframes and with T-tops. How is the C5/C6 platform about this? Does having a removable top C5/C6 mean you need some form of re-inforcement if you are going to run the car on a slick or DR with a cam or power-adder to avoid damage/extra rattles?
The C5/C6 cars have a substantial frame. Not subframes.

Is the C5 and C6 frame the same?
I rode in a C6 'vert the other day and the car didn't seem as solid as I would have expected. My WS6 and the 05+ GT's I have been in had a lot less cowl shake. Is my perception off, or are the low torsional rigidity ratings of the C5 accurate? From what I have seen, it is 1/3 as rigid as the new mustang. I would not have belived it until the other day.
