Active Handling Off - but still on!?!?!
So with all the controls turned off I did a few laps at Monticello this weekend. To my surprise when the car got loose, the Active Handling starts kicking in and straightening the car!
And yes, I am positive the Active Handling is turned off...it says it in the display but then gets overridden by the system anyway. I did a few more laps where I tested it on purpose and even on the wet track the car still wouldn't do what i wanted.
Any thoughts?
Hmm, I thought it should shut everything off as well, but doesn't surprise me that the "nannies" are still there
. I don't have enough experience with mine yet to know if that's truly the case.
In Comp mode the AH is still on but doesn't intervene as early.
Even when AH and TC are OFF, the TMS (Torque Management System) is still working.
TM can be pretty well tuned out using tuning software - or at least the point at which it starts to activate can be changed so it effectively is out of the picture.
TM is to protect the drivetrain, so you'll feel it come into play during hard acceleration.
Do you have a tune that may have reduced TM?
Was the intervention you felt during acceleration? If so, it could just be TM trying to protect the power train.

However......TM is definitely present in manual transmission cars.
