Default 2007 LS2 Clutch replacement HELP!

I have been getting conflicting info from my dealer. Can someone please answer the following questions.

1. What all should I replace when changing clutch?
2. Does the flywheel need to be resurfaced?
3. I recently purchased a "NEW" OEM clutch/Pressure Plate from a third party. How can I confirm it is the right clutch?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also any good recommendations as to where to get the additional parts is appreciated.

Thanks

P.S. The current clutch is not bad. I am having other work done under warranty and thought i should replace the clutch that now has 79K miles on it.

The part number on the pressure plate is 24233085. Can anyone confirm that this is the correct clutch for my LS2?

If you are going to the trouble, replace all the clutch parts.... No way would I put a new clutch on an old fw.

A new flywheel, slave cylinder, and a remote bleeder are a good ideal to replace while everything is apart. I searched your part number and did not come up with anything.

I agree with the flywheel. I am very puzzled with the part number. I have spoke with the dealer and some speed shops. They claim the clutch is a LS7 clutch. But no one is 100% sure. Any ideas?

The GM service manual says "if you replace the pressure plate, replace the flywheel."

I have driven manual trans cars for over 50 years. When ever I do a clutch job I always include a new throwout bearing and pilot bearing and have a good look at the rear main seal. These parts are cheap and add very little to the labor. Certainly cheaper that having to go back in after a new clutch.
I'm not surprised that the dealer would give you the LS7 clutch as the replacement part. Supposedly they went to that clutch somewhere in the '07 C6 production year.

Replace the clutch, slave, flywheel, pressure plate, and bearings and install a speed bleeder while your in there. Use the Ls7 clutch because its better.

Thanks for all the help. I did not think of the rear main seal. Should I go with the aluminum Flywheel? Will I lose driveability?

I have also posted a detailed picture of the clutch on my profile. Still not sure if it is the right one.

Thanks

Still a mystery. I have posted a picture of the clutch. Please click on the "my corvette photos" under the picture of my car.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
