I don't remember anyone reporting that particular issue but my guess is you have a problem with the actuators. Here's an informational thread from the C5 section (they had the issues much worse than the C6) but same thing and one from C6. Good luck.

Try disconnecting you battery for 20 minutes (dont forget to reindex your windows). Hopefully that will reset you HVAC. If it needs work, the dealer is very expensive for these type of repairs. Recommend a good local vette shop. They might be cheaper.

I paid 600 to get my 04 H2 to go into recirculate mode.

Well I got the prognosis, the actuator is bad, the cost for the actuator is $58.00, the labor is $515.00, the dash had to be removed to get to it.

Bad news went to go pick up the vette, the technician said that was not the problem. He said it might be a shortage, so they are going to pull the entire Dash and chase the wire. Will keep you posted

Went to the chevy dealer in 1994 with the wifes 85 vette, jumpy idle, pinging at light throttle. They were no help at all, they cleaned the injectors and replaced the computer. 300 bucks later and the car still had jumpy idle and pinging under light throttle.

I bought a 85 vette service manual, followed the troubleshooting directions, and fixed it myself for the price of a wire and a throttle position sensor (35.00). Most dealership mechanics are not smart enough to read thier own GM mauals. They just start replacing stuff until you show up to get your car, then give it to you even when the problem still exsists.

Bottom line, fix it yourself (if you can) or find a reputable vette mechanic.

Tell the dealership your not paying for the labor to replace the actuator, since they mis-diagnosed the problem in the first place.

1st thing they should have done is to re-flash the HVAC control unit. Did they?

I went back to the dealer yesterday, the tech guy stated they have to call into GM to get an answer. The Actuator is working but it is just running and the door is not changing, they keep getting a default code that says the Actuator is bad.

Wow, this is the worst experience I've seen reported about these things. Sorry it's happening to you. We'll be interested in the outcome so keep us posted. And I agree you should negotiate hard on not paying at least part of what's been done, incorrectly. Good luck.

Went back to he dealer today and the service guy I was dealing with was out, so a new guy tried to help me, guess what when he pulled it up in the computer it said my car was awaiting parts, which was not true so I explained to the guy the entire story so I said maybe I should just get my car and go somewhere else. The I asked could I speak to a supervisor, I talked and explained to him that my car has been there for 5 days and I don't know whats going on, he stated let me go talk to the shop foreman, he did and came to me and said he apologize for me not being informed, he said the technician that was working on my car was out sick today, left a note saying please don't let anyone touch this because I took it apart and I want to put it back together, I said "whoa", so that means I will not have my car until Monday or Tuesday, again he said please allow me to fix this, I was calm, because my car is torn apart in the shop. Keep in mind this is a big dealership? will keep you posted
