Not exactly but could be if you do not decide to add a controler. The Z06 stock dual mode mufflers operate off of vacuum controlled by a stock controler. When you add these mufflers or other NPP type to a 2006 C6 and want to control the opening and closing to get the louder or quiter then you would need to add one of the controllers available.
I added stock Z06 mufflers to my 2006 C6 and used the M2W system with thier Old school switch on the dead pedal. I love it. Search is your friend, you should find lots of data here for your efforts.
Installed a complete Z06 exhaust on my 05 M6. Thats the manfolds, cats,a borla X-pipe (bolts in same as stock H-pipe) and mufflers. I used a mild to wild to activate the muffler flaps. The rear O2 sensor wires were too short to reach and you can either buy extensions or do like I did untape the stock wires to get the extra wire from the existing loom that will reach fine. you can pick these exhausts up farly reasonabnly priced if you keep watching. Its a easy installation to do to get a much better exhaust that is lighter and has the muffler open or closed option.
When you added the stock Z06 mufflers to your 2006, did you order them straight from the dealership? Do they differ then the NPP exhaust which is now offered on the new vettes?
I have a 2009 C6, so I am wondering if there is a way to have the exhaust hooked up to the computer without a switch like how they come out of the factory?
Also, rather then do this, would a Corsa exhaust be the better way to go?

I did the same thing on my '05 MN6 with a complete Z06 system...the only thing I forgot was the O2 sensor length but the tech made some custom extensions for me.
I have the M2W controller fobs and it is also programmed into my Homelink buttons (#2 to open and #3 to close).

thanks,
Search the Parts Wanted/For Sale section as there are members selling Z06 exhaust parts all the time...
I put a 2007 ZO6 exhaust system on my 07 Coupe, by myself. Since I have an automatic and there's an issue with the over axle pipe and the trans, and, the mufflers neck down to 2.5 inches, so I welded the stock over the axle pipes to the bimodel mufflers. There are a couple of methods for removing the mufflers without screwing around with the rear way bar and a way to eliminate splicing the rear O2 sensors. Send me a PM with your name and phone# and I'll be glad to talk about the process.
So I have a stock LS3 C6 with Kooks long tube headers, a no-cat set of pipes, and a NPP exhaust. The stock NPP mufflers were retrofit by one of the previous owners. The interior is stock AFAIK (no sound deadening).
FWIW:
- The NPP system with the valves closed is impressively quiet inside of the cabin. It is almost inaudible when cruising at low RPM and at WOT the intake sound is almost as loud.
- With the valves open, it is much louder,, more than loud enough for me. There is also a wicked drone at 1500 RPM (+/- 200 RPM wide) that is brutal on the highway.
- Comparing the two modes (valves open to valves closed) it is like a different car: Closed, sedate. Open, boisterous. Being able to choose between the two at any time is pretty cool.
