DIC reboot
Is there a problem when the DIC appears to reboot, very slowly I might add, everytime I start the car?

Silly question, but when you experience this, do you lose your radio presets?

I don't listen to the radio in this car, so I couldn't say.

This happend to my car on the dyno one time. It did the reboot a couple of times and havent had a problem since.

The short answer to your question is yes, there is a problem. I have not heard of this before but it needs to get checked.

What are you seeing on the display?

Well, when I first start it all of the lights in the display come on, including both turn signal indicators, and the tach does not register anything. After several seconds of this I'll hear a click, then the tach needle and speedo fly around like they usually should do immediately at startup. Then all's well until the next cold start.

After the instrument panel goes through it standard check, the DIC displays the Software, Boot, and EEprom version.....?
