Default LS3 cam ?

I'm thinking of moving up from my '05 Z51 6MN LS2 equipt w/ the following mods to a new GS 6MN

Custom Ground 228/232 .598int .601 exh 114LSA w/spring kit
1-3/4 Kooks w/ 3" X & mids, into 2.5 NPPs
Ported FAST
U/D pulley
160 stat
Vararam CAI
Dynoed at 452rwhp/418rwtq

For resale I would remove all mods & consider adding them to the new vehicle, upgrade to a FAST 102 & port it. My question is re: the cam. The LS2 is a strong performer w/ these mods, drivable, w/ a only a slight hint of a cam w/ NPPs shut.

Any thoughts on this combo, specifically the cam in an LS3. I would thnk the added cubes may slightly tone it down, but still post higher numbers in an LS3. Please provide your thoughts. The springs would be replaced just to be on the safe side, although they have less than 10K on 'em. Thx in advance.

You will save a ton of money by just doing the GS conversion. Plus a sharp driver like you are will still beat 99% of the GS owners.

I LOVE the GS mod. I think my car looks bad a$$ if I do say so myself. Plus I get a ton of compliments on the LeMans Blue like you have. Road trip down to SFL and my buddies at Pride Auto Body will take care of you.

I'd check with one of the Forum Vendors - better cams out there than the stock LS3 one.

Default Thought about it

Joe, the GS vert whether a modded C6 or one off the showroom floor is imo the best looking body style since the end of the chrome bumpered models from '53 to '72. You're probably right on the money & performance.

I am really curious what kinda #s both rwhp & E.T.s an LS3 w/ the same cam & mods I have done are puttin' down.

I stopped at a couple of dealers and saw a Cyber Grey vert & a new (greyish blue) vert both w/ 2 tone interiors & they are just plain gorgeous!

BTW, my '05 is triple black, my '72 is Targa blue which is quite close to Lemans blue which I love to pieces. Lol

I have the LS3 with a bigger cam and stock intake ported and all the other stuff you have on yours and I put down 503hp/430tq. I don't know the exact size of my cam it's the england green whiplash. it is noticeable with or without the B&B fusions opened. but I do love that sound.
