The splash guards are c6 z06, they are cheap and you can modify them to fit the standard c6 fenders.

Here's a thread on that.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...l-chapter.html

I now have c6z fenders:

Good looking car... I gotta say I bought my LaMans Blue cause every time I finish washing her I get lost just staring at the paint... It looks great.. Did you get the Factory body kit? how much those going for? I want the Z06's front fenders though.

Factory parts from Gene Culley.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...rts-house.html

GS kits are $3700, Zo6 kits are $5400. Easy decision for me! The difference is carbon fiber front fenders. The front fenders are already so light you save only a lb or two. Not worth the money to me.

I put in a c5 diff a year ago, it's been great so far. Sparo2 did a great write up.

Well the matrial of the fenders is not an issue... my deal is that I like the air openings of the Z06 more that the Grand Sport due fin fenders... Still your wide body kit in LaMans Blue looks great!

Your right on that, but 10.59 is the number to beat, as the fastest c6 cam only be it auto, manual, ls2 ls3 blue white silver red or any other color

Dennis has the Fastest Cam Only LS2 A4, and holds the Fastest Cam Only spot on the C6 1/4 Performance list.

I on the other hand hold the Fastest Cam Only LS2 A6 time of 10.84@125.83mph and Hold the Fastest Cam Only Spot of any LS2/LS3.

So there you have it, both cars are auto, both cars are cam only except with two different automatic transmissions. Both cars are FINE EXAMPLES of what Cartek Racing can offer to the consumer.

Here is the video, timeslip, info on the parts

Video of the pass.

Cartek 3X Cam
Comp 921 dual springs
Manley harden push rods
Meziere eletric waterpump,160 t-stat, with Zip products wiring harness
Kooks SS headers 1 3/4 with 3' x-pipe and highflow cats
Port Matched Fast90 intake with carbon fiber paint/overlay
Ported stock throttle body
Passenger side 300M out put shaft
B&B Rt.66 catback with 4' rounds tips
Brialle 15lbs gell cell battery
Asp 10% underdrive pulley/belt kit
Vararam cold air intake
Vigilanti 3600 stall converter
B&M Tranny cooler

The heads are stock, the compression is stock, the gears(2.56) are stock, the car still retains the factory stock spark plugs.

Hi Joe,

Great videos and pics of your ride. If my memory serves me correct, you have raised the compression of your motor by removing the heads on your car to place thinner gaskets to bump up your compression....So in reality your car is OUT of the Cam Only class, although I imagine you already new that since Cam Only means you can't touch the stock heads by removing them, cleaning them up, or of course bumping up your compression..

Basically you should consider yourself in the H/C class.

I'm rooting for you to get a 10.99 in a cam only manual, to my knowledge nobody's done it! I've been trying to no success. Though I plan to use some skinnies and take out my passenger seat next winter and try again....

Thanks Dicky! We should be getting some marginally good weather for racing by then, the day after Thanksgiving is a traditional test day for the Citrus Nats and that is often a great day for racing. Last year for some reason track prep was abysmal and they only had one lane open.

OP sorry for the thread Hijack.

If I haven't said it before, you feel a cam more than heads, woudn't make sense to do heads before a cam, if you can afford both at once then do it! A cam has downsides, it'll hurt drivability some.

And if you really want 550 rwhp you should be looking at a 427 or forced induction.

Yea, talking manuals, a big-cam only LS3 has 500 rwhp, and the LS2's with Trickfllow heads and big cams have about 500 rwhp and both get 10 second slips with good drivers behind the wheel, with skinnies and typical weight reductions like taking out passenger seats, etc.

That's why I'm holding off getting heads....it'd be nice to get the 10 slip without them. Though Silvervette05 seems to be a sharper driver than me so he will likely get it first!

Now you stalled automatic guys are a different breed all together. Those things are animals. Doesn't make sense to me I can launch my car at 6200 RPM 100% throttle and still can't 60 foot better than you!

speaking of that.... could you please answer me this, just why does the c6 auto a6 or a4 beat the manuals when in the c5 bolt-on the manuals rule over the autos

I don't know that is true, but I'll trust you it is...and if it is, there is only one explanation.

The c5 auto guys can't drive!!! There's no way a manual can keep up to a 3900 stall auto with some 3.90 gears.

Oh...sorry, two potential answer.

if the C5 manual guy includes RobZ then he's not human. Well maybe he's human but he doesn't drive his car back and forth to the track and to work like I do!

Seriously, my shop had (just sold) a D-stock 03 C5 auto, with stock lift cam, stock intake, stock ls1 heads, 3900 stall and 4:10's and turns 10.8's all the time. If you are serious like they are (Jeremy Preston has won several national NHRA titles and Wally's, including tied last year for overall champ IIRC) you know there are tenths in proper suspension setup.
