That's great - there was a time a few years ago they were doing roller tests I heard...I remember for a while they would have roadside emission testing setup, my father in law got a "you passed emissions" thing in the mail. Now of course that device could also be used to send you a "you failed emissions" letter...how scary is that.
Here in FL you just mail in your $34 every year and they mail you a sticker.
I don't know what I'd do in STL if Gateway closed as is the rumor...I used to love MAR out in Wentzville. I still have a couple of win trophies from there.

That is a sweet setup in FL, maybe dual residency with primary in FL?
I have also heard the rumors about GIR, that would be a huge disappointment. I think someone would step up and purchase the place, it really has allot going for it IMO but I am not paying the bills either.

I am waiting on a check to order the cam and the intake... what lobe separation is your cam? I am going to go ahead and get the same one the tsunami from Texas Speed and the 102 but I will need the TB ported. I already bought the Kooks LT's and I am buying the Kooks X pipe on friday. Also will be buying the NOS LS2 plate kit.

Hey guys I love your thread and thought I would chime in. I have an 07 LS2 A6 with a stock stall and 2.56 gears on Hankook street tires. The engine has a Fast 102mm intake, Stock TB, CAI, SLP longtubes, delete cats, magnaflows and a cam 219-235-113 lsa. I see your amazing numbers and wish I could match I ran 11.90 @120 mph. Great launch (I think) No wheel spin and 43 degrees outside. 1.89 60ft. So in short here is some more info from another cammed C6. Hope it helps

I have everything to do the Cam only setup... I have the FAST 102, the Kooks LT's and o/s X pipe, the z06 mufflers (I still need the controller for the bi mode to work), the tsunami cam with springs and retainers, LT extensions... from what I was told by LG I can reuse the timing chain gasket and the exhaust gasket... I will need the Intake gaskets. I also bought the LS2 NOS kit but from my understanding is that I cannot have 2 tunes on the car.... well not ON the ECM, I have a predator and I was thinking of having a N/A tune and a NOS tune saved in the Predator then I could upload the NOS tune when I needed it... I am being told that I can NOT do that so I may just sell the NOS as I would only plan on using it very little and only FTW I do not want to be driving around all the time in a NOS tune when I only plan on spraying 5-10 times a year. =/ that sucks. Any thuth in this???
also... how many horses am I leaving on the table by not going with the 102MM TB?

OK I have a question.
I am trying to hit 450whp but I want to do it with stock exhaust manifold and no FI. So far I have a Vararam intake coming, Corsa X-pipe and cat-back exhaust. I was going to go with a different maf sensor, and couldn't decide on a fast intake and TB or just a ported stock LS2 intake and TB. Then would be a cam and tune. (a little help with what cam to go with would be great )
I don't want to break any records, and want to keep the car really drivable. I don't want it to be to loud, why I'm sticking with stock manifolds. The car will also have a upgraded diff with 3.73 gears. (it is a z51)

But that's the thing, I don't want to pull the headers. If I go though the work of pulling them off, then I might as well go with LT headers, and deal with the sound.

My cam is very aggresive but it drives incredibily smooth... its a 111* lobe and the bucking (if any is when you decelerate under 1500 rpm within gear, but like I said.... you have to be looking for the buck if not you will miss it), I think without t LT's your leaving about 20-30 rwhp... so things will be difficult unless you put some 230 AFR's V3 or TF's 245 mild cam and intake. Trash the LS2 intake... the FAST will raise the curve about 750-800rpm. I would get the TB as I was told that I left about 10-15rwhp by keeping the stock one. Still its achivable but manifolds have to go...
I've read that you gain about as much power from a stock ported manifold vs the fast one. I also read that the LS6 manifold was an improvement over the LS2 one. They say there is about 20-30whp to be had from porting the TB and manifold.

IMHO - Headers will increase the noise level some, but its the exhaust after the headers that will determine the noise level more. Headers with stock mufflers will not be loud, while manifolds and the certain mufflers will be. You don't really get much if any power from changing mufflers. The power increase comes more from what happens in front of them.
IMHO again - doing a cam and other mods without headers is kind of counter productive

My car with American Racing headers and high flow cats is soooo quiet with my NPP mufflers closed, no drone either.
