Dealer-installed pedal cover problem
I just had the optional pedal covers from GM put in my brand new 2011 ZR1.
The brake, clutch and dead pedal were just "bolt on" covers that went directly over the stock surfaces.
The throttle, however, was the entire gas pedal assembly which the Chevy dealership svc dpt had to install after removing the Stock gas pedal assembly.
Now it seems as if there is too much "play" in the throttle...in other words I have to push in the gas pedal FURTHER to get the same response in forward motion/acceleration than before. It almost wants to stall if I do not get the revs up to 2000 or so, which while fun at times, can get tiresome in stop and go traffic.
Does anyone know if this can be/ should be corrected by the dealership?
It seems as though there is little increase in revs until the gas pedal is depressed much farther than before.

Pedal Cover
These stainless steel Pedal Covers with raised rubber traction feature a checker-board design, and provide a sporty finish to the interior of the Corvette. The kit includes a replacement for the stock accelerator pedal assembly with the crossed-flag and Corvette script logo, and a cover for the brake and clutch pedals. A Dead Pedal Cover also available for the driver foot rest to complete the look.
Thanks,
Kevin
