Default rear lowering pads

Yesterday I pulled a rear wheel and looked at the suspension to pre-plan an attack of the factory spring bolt pads. My stock ones are already in the lowest position ; and the fender is still 2 1/2 " above the tire.. Looks like disconnect the top shock mount and the lower sway bar mount ; should let the A frames drop low enough to relax the spring?
If I gotta pull the A frames; I'll take it to a shop.

Any body do this lately?

If you're asking what needs to be done to get the factory bolt out to install an aftermarket lowering bolt then you're on the right track. Sway bar end link and top shock mount are correct. You then need to do a little more to get the lower A-arm low enough. Some will undo a ball joint, I didn't want to do that since I saw no way to get a torque wrench on that nut. I unbolted the upper arm at the frame (4 bolts?) and that will allow the lower arm and knuckle to drop enough to get the bolt out. This way you don't mess with any ball joints or the inner bolts on the lower arm which affect the alignment. As far as the replacement I would only recommend the ones from Hardbar.

It is a PIA to remove them. Just cut the bushing down to the last notch. You will know what I mean when you look at it.

When you 'drop' the car by cutting the rubber 'snubber' and pulling the bolt all the way up... Does the car need to be re-aligned?

(Yeah. I'm new)
