Default FAST install help needed

Went to begin the job & cannot figure out how to disconnect the fuel hose from the rail? I removed the clips that attach, but cannot pull the hose off; is there a procedure to remove the steel hose?

Off to a bad start.

Thanks.

Go to autozone and buy a fuel line disconnect tool. They come in a small pack of different sizes. for like 5 bucks. Push the tool over the line and push in towards the clip with the tool. With the other hand push the fuel line towards the rail and it will pop right off. Put some rags underneath cause some fuel in the lines will come out

You need a fuel line disconnect tool. Seen here at step 15 http://keliente.com/c5engine.htm

Newton06:

You don't need to remove the fuel line, ease the injectors out of the manifold and lay it on a cloth on the windshield. Be careful, if you pull an injector out of the fuel rail, you may get squirted with gas.

No need to remove the fuel line, it will spin around and lay on the windshield as Red06Vette mentioned.

have you read the "how to" online yet? I think you should as it will help you know how to handle any little obstacle.

Yeah, silly me just had it re-tuned a month or so ago; do you think another re-tune is in order? Seems to be running great.

I did notice the intake noise is considerably louder with the FAST versus the OEM piece.

My tune was off, I think my tuner said I was pretty lean. He also had to re-tune the MAF as well.

There was wine involved, more than a few mistakes, and a run to AutoZone. All told, ~5 hours including a test drive. I would say a mechanically competent person could easily do it in half that.
