Default RPMs slow to drop down

I have a 05 , When you lift off the gas to shift the rpms don't seem to drop off.I have had several Vetts of the same vintage with the drive by wire and none did this. I have checked for any vacuum leaks and have found none.I have replaced the pedal assembly also. Cleaned the TB . It Idles perfect ,runs very nice just doesn't slow quickly down when you let off , it seems like you almost have to tap the brake to get a response. Anybody have any good advice on what to look for here. Thanks in advance for any help..

Still sounds like an air leak after the MAF.

It actually did this before any changes were made .????? I was hopeful that it would correct itself after the mods were on .

I've noticed this in my '07 but only when I'm not moving. When I'm rolling, the throttle returns quickly yet when stopped, it returns to idle slowly.

It's most likely in the tune, or if brought on by an aftermarket part, it can be easily tuned out, let me know if we can help.

Thanks for the offer,I think Chuck Cow is closer to me at 3 hours away ,I will be tucking the car away for the winter in a month, So this may wait till spring .It probably wouldn't bother a normal person at all but I tend to be pretty **** about these things.I had never noticed anything like this in the previous vettes that Iv'e had so thats why it irritates me so much.

While it IS likely in your tune, it's not a result of the mods unless somehow the reading the MAF gets has been messed with.

GM built "too much" airflow into the tables that control the way the rpms fall back to the base idle.

It helps protect the trans a bit and makes up for the fact that not everyone who buys a vette is a sharp driver.

If you'd like the idle to fall faster we can do that for you.

Stay TUNED!
