Default Fix weather stripping?

The weather stripping between the body and hatch has started to come off. How should I fix this? Should I re-glue what is there or buy an entirely new section? Any recommendations on the glue and the cleaning process?

Here is a picture (rear window is tinted).

Thanks.

You could probably find some glue to use and fix it but........if it were me, I would just replace it. The new strip will come with sticky tape already applied. I haven't done it (I have a vert) but I've read enough reports here to say it isn't a big deal to do it. Just FYI, here's a recent thread that may encourage you. Good luck:

How old is your car? It may be a warranty thing and you wont have to deal with it at all. I had all of my weather stripping replaced under warranty once.

You could try repairing it, gluing it back in place using black ATV silicone sealer.

You need to carefully clean and dry it and see if it will go back to the position it was, if it will put a little of the black sealer on one side of the rubber and push it back into place.

If closing the hatch will hold it in place, carefully close it and let it cure for a day.
