Have you used the GTO wheels with the OEM tires? If so, what was your trap speeds.
I was hoping to get the M & H skinnies in time to race this weekend, but they're backordered now. I don't want to chance the GTO OEM temporary spare tires without knowing that it's been done before.
my buddy and i have used them on our cars trapping 132 in the quarter and spirited "mexico" trips faster than 132. since then i have changed to a bias ply setup or else i would have kept the tires.
i've heard of some tracks "wising" up to the GTO spare, and are not allowing them through tech inspection.
They're not NHRA legal, but the track I'm going to cuts a little slack on lightly attended test and tune sessions. My M & H tires will arrive next week, so I'll be good to go then.

That vote of confidence is the reassurance I was looking for. Thanks.
I cant go this weekend, if you want to borrow mine just to be safe you can.
Many thanks my friend, but I'll get by for the moment. If dsp300c ran OEM tires, I'll do it once myself. The others will arrive in time for next weekend. See you then.
sorry for the hijack Hoxxoh, but, since we've got some users of these in here, what kind of improvement did they notice with the skinnies?
I've got a set too and plan to try them this winter to see if I can drop some ET. I've been stuck at 7.2's consistently, for a couple of years now.
Hijack is approved. So lets talk performance.
Mike (SL33PER) and I did a double blind test earlier this year. I made 2 passes with his skinnies, while he did the same without. Then we switched and made 2 more passes each. Averaging the time differences resulted in an .07 ET reduction. Considering the skinnies save 48-50 pounds total and my multiple weight tests I did in April that indicated 100# = .12, the .07 seems right on.
