Bilstein Sports because they're dirt cheap and your OE Sachs dampers wore out two years ago.

Michelin Sport PS/2 ZPs, the next time you need tires. 30psi front, 29psi rear.

Alignment.

My '05 A4 is (was) base suspension. I upgraded and the car is unbelievable now. What made the difference for me was the combination of:
  • Pfadt adjustable coilovers w/ poly bushings
  • Z51 sway bars w/ poly bushings
  • removing GM leaf springs
  • upgrade dampers
  • road tested wheel alignment
  • 4 point balance
  • lowering ride height
  • steering adjustment
  • performance wheels/tires
(see profile)

Major improvement in handling.

Read up on the coilover vs leaf spring post in the tech forum. Unless you are a hardcore racer, stick with getting Bilsteins or the Konis. I'm actually looking to change mine out also. I'll probably end up going with the Bilsteins based on all the rave reviews. Plus, they are much cheaper than the Konis.

I did the Pfadt kit without the control arm bushings and am very happy. Did Bilsteins, but am very happy with my second upgrade.
