Default Traction!! Help!!

Hello guys, i've searched and I can't come up with a solution. My OEM wheels are chrome, so if I go with Spin's mod and order the OEM 18.5 front wheel, do I lose the chrome wheel, or do they re-chrome the wheel once its widen to 18x11? What other options do I have using the factory 19inch wheel. Are there any sticky tires that are good for track/street use? If I purchase a OEM front 18inch wheel, do I have to have it widen? Can I just put a 305/ Nitto dr on the rim? Just trying to get the traction issue resolved before mods begin.

Do you ocassionally track your car (1/4 mile)? If so, how do they hook? Are they R compound?
I don't want to do the wide body, because after the fenders, install, and paint, I'm looking at $5,000. Thats the price of the A&A I plan to purchase. I think I am going to purchase re-pro chrome fronts, take the re-pros and mount them on the front, then take my front wheels and have it widen to 18x11, buy 305s drs and mount them on the rear. I called Weld craft and they said the chrome will be fine

widbooty kit is $1200, paint is $400, it is VERY easy to install yourself, all you need is a screw driver.. probably 20 screws per side. If I can do it, trust me, ANYONE can..

so WB installed is around $1600
Rims - $850
Tires, back tires are $600 for a pair take your old back tires from you old rims and put them up front to save you $$..

about $3K and your traction problems are gone and your vette looks like 1 bad **** driving around town with 345's..

Wowww Dude!! you just changed my mind!! that looks good for the price. I thought that it would cost me close to $5,000. I guess I was thinking of the front Zo6 carbon fiber fenders. Where do I get the rear fenders from for that price? I have a painter. Will the stock 19inch wheels support 345 tires? Thanks for the advice.

Z06 Widebody Corvette Fenders

Here are a few different options to convert a C6 over to the Z06 body style. We offer both the OEM fenders, as well as ACI hand laid pieces. Don't forget the installation kit to finish everything off.

Feel free to call me if you have any questions.

I installed the Toyo R888 (305/30/19) tires on the back of my car (487 rwhp) and they stick like glue on the street, haven't had the chance to track it yet. Hope this helps.

Have you launched it on the street? Who did you order the tires from? I really like the wide body, but I would love to do the front fenders as well. Did you have to order a new Tire monitor system? Thanks

I would love to purchase the unit, but I won't be ready for another month. Sounds like a great deal. If it does not sell by then pm me.
