Help: Brake squealing

I just recently changed my stoke brake pads to Hawk HPS pad on my 07 C6 due to brake noise and about a week after I installed the new hawk pads I started hearing the squealing AGAIN. How do I get rid of the brake squeal?

If your goal was to eliminate, or at least reduce, brake squeal then you went the wrong direction. Hawk HPS are what their name says, High Performance Street. They are not much different than stock, maybe worse and they are High Perf, good for occasional track use.

For noise and brake dust reduction you should look at ceramic pads. Hawk offers some, GM offers some and the newest brand gaining a strong following here is Carbotech (Forum vendor). Here are some threads with info and reviews for your consideration:

HPS are pretty quiet, did you put the goopy stuff on the backs of the pads? That usually does the trick.
