The pic in post 6, if you remove the square box in the center you'll have an opening about 2" deep almost the size of the ballast. Pretty much a wide open space.

ahhh.. so there is 2 harness that you could say are free flowing that you just plug into the ballast one for the bulb and one for the signal lead? Crazy how water doesnt get in there.. my thing is i see it has 3 notchs and most after market ballast only look like to have 2. And my god the site is running like poop.

Just 3 wires about 18 ga. One from the plug on bottom of the light incoming to the ballast that powers the ballast then one to the HID bulb. The other goes to the Hight Beam bulb. The wiring actually takes up little room.

I have a couple of lights apart. I'll snap a couple of pics from the inside and you'll be able to see the ballast and what room it takes up.

UmX- my bad i guess, but the way your first post was worded, I thought you were saying that a new ignitor was available, as in a reply to the old posts, it wasn't worded as a question. (with those little ??? symbols)

reading this explained allot for me about the d2s.

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...-the-right-way

I could be taking it in wrong. But you could buy a d2s 55w kit, take the bulb out of the ignitor it comes with and use it in a d1s one.

edit: nvm i think i am wrong. idk if it matters if its 35w/55w to the ignitor

anyone heard of these guys?

rl would say there is a way to use the mounting bracket that screws to the projector on a diff bulb?

getting closer to an answer

this is a d2s bulb on a d1s projector. with a self made bracket.
