convertible top creaking

convertible top creaking
The 05 i just picked up has been great. I have put 300 miles on it no issues.
The top however was making noise, i have isolated the source, it is coming from the body panel the waterfall is attached to on the rear corners that match up with the trunk.
I can see adjustment "*****" and when i adjust them up the noise goes away but the body panel is then raised and not lined up. I went back and forth on these ***** i was just guessing and having to move the top up and down each time. Before i wear the power top out i thought i would ask as i cannot be the only one who has had this noise but a search turned up only coupe issues
It only happens on rougher roads and i can replicate it by pushing down on the body panel i referenced. On a smooth highway it is super quiet
