Default Long Term Reliability Question??

If any of you have seen my previous posts you know my timing chain broke and i bent valves, i was told one of my push rods is closer to an S-shape now and about half my pistons got kissed by the valves.

I have gathered most engine builders would replace as opposed to repair so thats what i was looking at.

All Aftermarket pistons that match the 6.098 rod length have valve relief so i worry about losing compression (giving up power in the process).

As opposed to trying to repair my heads i am looking at a CNCed set of LS6 or AFR Heads. 228/232 113 cam is what i had kinda fallen towards. Still probably going to put down about 450rwhp from what I have heard so losing power to compression wouldn't be bad but hate to give it up as well.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is my worry. I got into Road Racing this year with HPDEs and may eventually want to do TimeTrials.
If the pistons got kissed,..... what are the odds and rods and crank are totally fine???
If you just get new Mahle pistons i found them for <$550 so its a good deal, but then there is machine work to balance and rebuild the engine with bearings and such so it was going to be roughly $2500 to rebuild the bottom. If i did that with the AFR 215cc Heads and a new cam and timing chain (C5R) maybe new ATI Damper and to hold the power an LS7 clutch. With one Pushrod bent pretty bad i was going to go with Morel Lifters as well had a rough total of about $7500 and i may be leaving out a bit of labor but maybe not.
The other extreme i have looked at was the 404ci LS2 stroker crate motor that is totally built and just needs heads (probably do LS6 CNCd heads to save some money for now) again with a new cam (would need help to pick that one with the new cubes) and still gotta install it and probably closer to $9k.
I know its a budget and a built motor is probably going to last when its all done right.
I know if i am concerned with money I should go with the quickest repair I can, i thought about these mods down the road but since so much work has to be done to rebuild the engine no matter what I am just weighing my options.
