Default Question about vette features

I am looking at 2 05s locally to possibly buy
One is a 05 auto with select ride control
The other os a 05 manual with the base suspension
The auto has about 15k less miles and costs $1,500 more
Option wise they're both the same car
For weekend hobbying I was wondering what you think is a more enjoyable set up? Thanks

I think that you need to define "hobbying" before you get meaningful replies

I am a manual fan so my opinion is very bias.

I am surprised the manual vs automatic crowd has not responded yet. When I bought my 07 I bought it with a manual. I had forgotten how much fun it was to drive, including shifting gears, since my last manual was in the early 70's. Would I own an automatic Vette? yes, but only if I had to drive in traffic every day or if I had a physical problem that precluded driving a manual

Definitely go for the manual, unless you'll are doing a lot of racing on the track. Automatics seem to get more consistent track times than manuals.

Check to make sure that neither was built prior to January 05. If I recall Vin numbers less than 11000 or so. The early 2005 cars had some problems, by now most if not all should have been resolved. You can check out the FAQ sticky in the general section, good luck
