Additive or not ?

Does the rear diff. for my 05 Z51 require additive if I put the royal purple synthetic 75/90 in it ?

RedLine has an additive, I would call Royal Purple and ask them.

My bet is yes.

Royal Purple has it in it.. I had the dreaded diff chatter.. changed to royal purple, it got rid of it for about a month.. then back again.. Put Amsoil 75w-90 in with a bottle of the slip-loc additive.. No chatter in over a year..

My guess as well as I know all of the AMSOIL diff fluids are already formulated with the slip lock additive. I added more separately for good measure three years ago as others have done since I had pretty severe chatter even after a dealer fluid change with Mr Badwrench (pre-Dex LS) fluid.
