While not having the door sensors should not affect programming, it certainly will keep the system from allowing you to open the car doors when the car is locked, so ultimately, they will be required. How is it that they are not there?.....seems like an unusual item to be missing, even at the auction...

First of all, I can't even find out from him what car he really has!!!

I had a PM from him asking me to help. In that PM he told me he had a 2006 coupe, now in this thread he says he has a 2008 coupe.
In my PM reply to him I asked a number of questions, and I never got a response.
One of my questions was "Is your car a Z06"? No response.
I sent him a couple pictures so he could compare the manual latch in an early Z06 with the auto pull down latch in a base C6 coupe, and asked him which one he had - but no response.
If he has a Z06 that's earlier than 2009, then it does not have the auto pull down latch. Convertibles have the same manual latch that the early Z06 had, and there is a difference in the key lock cylinder above the license plate, and the cable from the key lock cylinder to the latch in the trunk or cargo compartment that allows you to manually open the trunk/hatch.
A very important difference is the way the programming signal is intiated by twisting the key. I put an auto pull down latch in my 2006 Z06 a couple of years ago, and I had to swap key lock cylinders. The key lock cylinder for the manual latch has 2 wires coming out of it, and the one for an auto pull down latch does not.
Forum member cclive straightened me out on the purpose of the 2 wires coming out of the manual latch - turning the key activates a switch within the key lock cylinder and the signal is transmitted through those wires when programming a fob.
The auto pull down latch doesn't have the wires - the programming signal is generated by a switch inside the latch when the cable is pulled by twisting the key.
So....here's what hnaskoct said to me in his PM:

If hnaskoct has a Z06 with a manual latch, then he has the correct key lock cylinder, but if the rear of the car was damaged and the auto pull down latch was installed, the key lock cylinder won't work with it - the cables are different lengths and some back yard rigging would have to be done to hook it up to even make it work to open the hatch with the key.
If he has a base C6, he has the wrong key lock cylinder. The key twists won't be transmitted to the BCM at all unless those wires are hooked up to the ones that come out of the auto pull down latch.
However, we don't even know if he has an auto pull down latch or a manual latch. If the car was in an accident and had a butcher job repair, it may have the wrong latch and key lock signal - in which case it's going to very difficult to get the programming signal to work properly.

ANOTHER THING I STARTING TO WONDER ABOUT IS
Is this guy a troll????

Is he trying to get info on how the system works so he can program fobs on cars he doesn't own???
Come on hnaskoct - you've got to be forthcoming on why you won't answer my questions about what model car you have.
Why don't you even know what year your car is - an '06 or an '08?
If you really have a C6, it sounds like its so butchered up (no transponder antennas for the doors or hatch, maybe the wrong key lock cylinder and latch, wires from the key lock cylinder that you don't know where to hook up, etc., etc., etc.), then I'm not sure you're going to able to get a fob to work with your car.
These cars are rolling computers - many computer modules all talking to each other, and if you don't have a lot of the components that are needed so that the modules can communicate properly, your car is never going to work very well.
My recommendation is to put all the required stuff in the car - and that means the parts that are designed for the specific model you have. Get the door and hatch transponders installed, make sure you have the correct latch and key lock cylinder, etc.
If you're trying to figure out how to program a fob so can drive off in somebody else's car, I think you're finding out that it's virtually impossible.
