So, I'm getting ready to replace the batteries in the fobs for my 2009 Vert. And I see the discussion about reprogramming, and turning the key in the trunk keyhole. I don't have any key!! It didn't come with one, never saw it. I went and looked, looks like there is a keyhole just above the license plate.
Was the Vert supposed to have a key? Since I didn't get one, where the heck do I get one that fits and works?

Kind of curious why you need FOB batteries so soon? My 06 is still running on it's original FOB batteries and I drive the car every day.
As far as the key, every car comes with one, I carry mine in case I get locked out by a dead battery. I think your best bet on getting a new key is to go to the dealer.

I was wondering that as well. The fob batteries in my 03 Tahoe are still going strong although the fob can't unlock the doors from 800 ft away any more it still opens them from 100 ft away. The batteries in the fobs for my 08Z are plenty strong as well and the ones for my 08 Malibu are still strong.
I've got 40K miles in two years, lots of uses of the fob, and I've heard stories on here of some folks getting 18 months, some getting years. Thought I'd just play it safe, and it's a cheap thang.
I never knew about the key inside the fob! What else they got hidden in this car?
The first fob batteries on our 2009 lasted about 6 months/12k miles after purchase, but the car had been at the dealer lot for 8 months before we bought it.
The second battery in my fob lasted another 6 months/10k miles. Wife's is still ok.
