I have a 2009 Z51 Vette (purchased new) with 45,000 miles on it at this time. I cannot find anything in the factory maintenance schedule which states if or when the fuel filter needs to be replaced. What’s the current thought on this?
I drive on city/highway roads and the recommended automatic transmission fluid change is 100,000 miles (50,000 if severe service). Should I wait until the 100,000 mile mark and get a conventional transmission fluid/filter change being that I don’t believe I fall into the severe service category?
The recommendation for coolant change is 150,000 miles or 5 years --- doesn’t that seem a bit too long?
Dexcool is a great coolant that can easily last more than 5 years. Many people follow the GM maintenance schedule and have no issues with their cars. My 03 Tahoe is close to 8 years old and is on its second fill of Dexcool. The 5 year old stuff that I took out looked like it had just been put in the vehicle.
Thanks for the responses guys. Another Corvette owner told me that the C6's do not have a serviceable fuel filter --- so that answers that question as well.
