What's the most efficient exhaust system? Not concerned about sound, just efficiency (read hp.)
Currently I have a Dynomax exhaust on 1 3/4" American Racing Headers long tube w/ high air flow cats. On paper the Dynomax get high raves, however I'm not convinced they don't restrict exhaust evacuation to some extent by their design. Looking to do better.

The Billy Boat Bullet is one of the least restrictive exhaust systems available for the C6. This is about what I got too including a tune of course on an LS3 with AR system and Corsa Sports cans. Believable numbers!
What makes you think you're not making 18 hp with the Dynomax setup?
I'm just not a believer in the way the Dynomax system bends and twists around. This has to slow the exhaust to some extent.
Think I found what I'm looking for. It's one of the older, Magnaflow systems. There's a Corvette shop in N. San Diego that's been installing them and I think I'll cut off some of the bend section of the pipe to make it truly nonrestrictive. I'll have to get rid of my SS quad tips and go with larger dual tips, just need to find something I like the looks of.
I'm not sure what your power level is but catbacks are hardly restrictions on these cars. I honestly doubt you'll notice (or even gain) any performance difference from one to the other.
it's just an attempt to make sure you get so compulsive about it that you detail your undercarriage (not underwear) before you take the shots so everyone will go "oooohhhh" and "ahhhhh".
