I have a Black C6-06 M6 Shifter ****. Yesterday I had a freind give me a Z06 shifter **** Black & Titanium. The two set ups are different. Can the ***** be disassembled and put back together. I want the Black & Titanium color contrast for my car. I didn't know if I could rework it. tks for any help.

I'm affraid you will have to open the stitches and some glue to switch *****.

I don't know why GM keeps, "Reinventing the wheel." Every few years the engineers justify their idle time by changing something that already works great.

I wish they would just go back to a threaded shifter shaft. All the same thread size of course.

Another good example is the door panel retainer pins. GM has nearly a hundred different retainers. Their latest rendition for the Corvette is designed so that at least two of them will break when you remove the panel.
