Default 412ci stroker dyno Friday

Hey everyone, very excited to be getting the final tune on my new setup for the c6. Don't really have anything to give away, but I'm sure some people would like to take a fun guess at what the car will put down for power numbers. Quick rundown of the car:
2006 c6 z51 m6
412ci stroker ls2 11.4:1 cr (Wiseco pistons,Manley rods and crank), Melling High Volume Oil Pump, Cartek 2x heads, 240/248 Cam, Fast 90mm intake and TB ported, Vara Ram, Kooks 1 3/4'' w/hi-flow cats, dumps right after the cats, Spec 3+ clutch, RPM built Trans..that's pretty much it.
The car is my daily driver so did not want to go too crazy on the build as I do get stuck in stop and go traffic on a regular basis. The car on the break in tune made 501rwhp/476rwtq. My guess would be 525rwhp/500rwtq, hopefully a little more..Will let everyone know the results as soon as I hear them myself and looking forward to getting the car down to the track in March to see what it will trap as I am more worried about that than the dyno numbers.

Greg

I am doing a 403 stroker with a similar compression ratio and a bit smaller cam 234/238 (daily drive and road racing so wanted a broader power band not as worried about peak or drag times). I did the FAST102 ported with a NW102mm TB and the Cf112 Halltech intake and also TEA stage 2 Heads.

Thinking we will be pretty similar. but youll probalby edge me out on the top end i am sure.

Curious to see your numbers when its final.

My build started Tues so hopefully its complete here in a couple of weeks. All the parts minus the pushrods were there so hopefully it can go smoothly, but theres always something i am sure.

I was going to say 530/515 before I saw the break-in numbers so I'll just stick with my first guess.

looking at the previous dyno sheet my tuner only took it up to 6k rpms and this was after a few pulls in the heat, october we actually were pretty warm here in NJ. I think I'm being pretty conversative on the guess but will see in a few days for sure. I have little doubt it will break the 500rwtq number but no idea what it will make for the rwhp figure. My tuner stated there is a good amount of timing left to add as well

thanks, same to you and your build. Maybe a few more stroker c6's will be popping up soon as well.

How do you get such high compression engines to run on pump gas? Or do you always use higher octane racing fuel?

congrats on both builds. Curious as to how a person decides between a 403 vs 412 vs 427? How did you choose your cubic inch size you wanted? was it part of a package?

car goes on the dyno tomorrow hopefully, things got pushed back a day but should be good to go tomorrow. we have 93 octane available at most stations here in NJ so CR was pretty safe for what I have been told by my tuner. I originally was going with a 402 build but the motor builder convinced me to go with the 412 setup to be unique and felt it would make slightly more power so the price difference wasn't really much different. With the amount of timing left to add, another 800-1000rpms to rev out to, and cooler weather I hope the car puts down a nice chunk more of power but will see tomorrow. Will post as soon as I get the call myself.

Well mine was an LS2 so smaller block to start with and didn't want to do much honing on the cylinder walls to keep integrity intact just give it enough for a new surface, the cubes for me came from the stroker not trying to change the cylinder size.

I have read and talked to many people that 11.5 is the number you want to stay below for static compression but thats also relative to your cam choice which could allow a bit more static compression depending on your dynamic compression. Either way ill have an 11.4 and a dynamic around 8.5 which ive heard is good for power but safe for longevity i think.

Any word on the dyno Greg? Curious how it turned out.

Dyno day got pushed back due to lack of time in schedules and holidays coming up. Hopefully Wednesday will be able to make the dyno and see what the car makes. Will try and get a nice video clip along with the dyno sheet next week and will post asap.

Awesome combo. What heads did Cartek use? 243's or LS3's? They have Ls3 based 2x and 3x portings too.

Hey everyone, sorry for no updates but weather in NJ hasn't been too stellar. Hopefully can get on the dyno sometime late next week. As for the heads they are the Cartek 2x heads using the 243s. Previous owner had the car done at Cartek and I left them on when I had Matt at TTP(now ECS) build the stroker. Not looking for crazy numbers, it's just a nice tame daily driver but shall certainly update once I get on the dyno.

sorry everyone for the massive delays, but the weather is still awful and just started graduate school so time has been very limited for the car. I have an appointment on 1/27 at 10:00am for the final dyno tune so will post up the video clip and dyno sheet the same day.

I think mother nature doesn't want me to get tuned. Dyno day pushed back until Wednesday morning 2/2 due to lovely snow storm. Confident the car will make 530+/500+ in this weather though
