Default Oil consumption issue

My 07 Z with 39000 mls has been consuming lots of oil. Ive had to add 1 quart of oil several different times only after spirited/high rev driving.
I would say approx after 80-90 mls of high rev driving. Engine & oil pressure are fine.
P.S. Backend & pipes completely black.
Seggestions please.

Did you check inside the intake for oil?

Did you buy it new? If you burn a quart every time you run it hard then your rings may be shot.

Take the intake off, open the throtle body and with a flashlight look inside and see what you find. This could tell you were the oil is coming from but not why is getting there.

Do a compression AND leak down test.
Rule out a problem.

Did you use the "drive it like you stole it" break in procedure? Or something more careful?

I had spoke to my Gm service advizor about a leakdown test with no results the 1st time brought car in for this issue. The tech told me he changed the 16 rubber seals top of engine. Not shure what that means.
He also mentioned that he was not shure that the seals will solve the oil issue.

The sixteen seals are valve stem seals. They can cause oil consumption. If that doesn't cure the problem then a leak down test is necessary.

Thank you fellow members for your input & Happy Holidays.
Got appt. with GM in Jan. 2011. Figured it would be best to address oil issue after all holidays are over.
GOD SPEED.

usually valve stem seals will smoke at idle or after hot restart, and first accel ,ring problems will smoke generally worse on heavy acceleration and high rpm. the catalytic converters can hide a lot of oil consumption smoke.

What do you mean by high rev driving? How high, how long, how often? What rpm do you cruise around town at?

sometimes this happens before you buy it,like when it's prepped at the dealership or maybe on a test drive

Ive had my Z brand new and broke her in real smooth. Cant complain. My car has 39000 + hard driven miles. By high rev I mean 6200-6700 RPM in every shift 1-5. I can see and feel sticky residue on my Z rearend. Service took note of it. Ill get it all squared away in JAN .
Thanks again fellas.

I found a lose intake manafold on 1985 vette. I used a quart every 800 miles. Showed no smoke at the exhaust but pipes were shiney black.
