could this message be cause by turning the car on with out the wheels installed or near the vehicle for a long period of time (8 weeks)

If there are no TPS readings, you will get this message, because the computer thinks that your tires have low, or no, air in them. So the computer is trying to keep you safe.

If you spin the wheels while it's on a rack or stands and ignition off, you MAY get this message (only happened to me once). Drive the car, it'll go away within a minute.

thanks guys! i just finished installing a BBK and was afraid i might have damaged a speed sensor while swapping rotors
