Default 17 inch wheels for c6?

Can you get 17 inch wheels with 40mm offset in order to run narrower tires for winter? I was thinking of 225 50 17 front and 245 50 17 rear.
6-8 inch rims for front and 7-8.5 rear. I have found c5 wheels but they have 56mm offset.

See if they clear the brakes and then go looking for the correct offset.

Not sure about what'll fit the front but 17" C5 Z06 rims will fit the rear, even if the car's a Z51.

A 17x9.5" 54-56mm offset wheel will fit fine F&R as long as you do NOT have the Z51 brakes. The F will not fit over the Z51 brakes as an 18" wheel is needed to clear. If you have the base model brakes a 17" fits on both F&R as I use with race tires. The 17x9.5" wheel will stick out @ .6-.7" more than your OEM wheels.

The 17" C5 Z06 front rim will fit on the rear even with Z51 brakes as I did an LS7 conversion on one last year and used to race it that way.

If you're still skeptical let me know and I'll dig up some pics and/of video of it.

True, those wheels even fit on the back of C6 Z06s with stock brakes as well.
Even the base C5 fronts (17x8.5) fit on the back of C6 Z51 cars (but not on the back of C6 Z06s).

Not skeptical at all as I was talking only about the front not fitting. Perhaps I could have worded it better. In my avatar I am running 17x11.5" (widened 17x9.5" 54mm) on the rear where I have also changed to 12.9" front base rotors and calipers. I run 18" on the front but only to use a 30 series tire. The 17" rim fits fine over my front base brakes.

I have a 2001 convertible. Non Z51. I just replaced the R45 suspension with bilstein hd shocks and r45 simulators. Very nice ride. I need to know if the front wheel size will fit the rear? I want to get the same size wheels/tires so I can rotate them. Thanks for any response.
