Car will not start.

should be open to support the theory that the Coil got hot and burned up
created the heat to discolor the plastic shell then the Coil eventually opened. Then the fuel pump would not turn on and let you there trying to start the Car with no Gas pressure.
I have been thinking for some time to make a diagnostic kit that one can
keep in the car when these things happen. More and more are our Cars
letting us sit. I can think of several senereos when the car wont start or even try to turn over. I will probably put it together and post it up for others to consider for a small price for a few items to make the car testable. What do you think about that idea?
A survival kit of sorts sounds like a fantastic idea

It popped another relay (the new one), but the only difference this time is that when I put a good relay in the 55 spot, it does not work. Looks like I'm in the market for a z06 fuel pump, is this a direct plug and play swap?
At least I got it home this time so I have time and privacy to tinker on my own (going to get another fuel pressure tester before I plunk down $350 on a fuel pump), but unfortunately the tank is very much full of gas so I'm going to have to devise some method of getting it all out.
If only I had a lift
.

I'm pretty confident that I did find and resolve my issue by doing a few things. We did end up changing the stock fuel pump out with a z06 fuel pump because the original one was no longer working at full capacity due to the electrical issues.
I'm pretty confident that my real issue was a bad connection of the fuel pump hot wire at the bulk head that sits just behind the battery, after the fuse block in the connection. If you haven't seen it, remove your battery and you will see a large connector with several wires. We pulled the fat grey wire from there, and the connectors had charred ends, we also could not get a solid connection at the bulkhead so we spliced a new wire in on either side of the bulkhead, then used the old wire to plug the hole so it would remain waterproof. I also added a Racetronix harness just to be safe.
It really took taking a multimeter to test every connection from the front of the car to the rear. I wish you the best of luck with your issue, and I'd start at thefuse block to make sure your other leads are hot. Check out my other thread where I was able to give a bit more info:

Good luck!
From a thread (somewhere) about preparing the engine for a first-start after winter storage:
"Put foot on brake and depress gas pedal fully while cranking. Engine will turn over and fill journals etc, but will not start."
