Default E-15 fuel question

I have been reading that fuel mixes are about to go from E-10 to E-15 which may affect cars made before 08 in a bad way, hurting performance and possibly doing damage. Anyone have any idea what components/systems can be affected and what can possibly be done to limit the effects? Is it possible that a computer adjustment could be a simple fix? I find it hard to believe that my 07 LS2 is that much different from an 08 LS3 in terms of metalergy and its ability to handle
any different temps created by this new fuel mix.

Your '07 is fine. The alcohol content affects the fuel system "rubber" parts, hoses, o-ring seals, etc, not the metal of the engine. You can do a search in C6 General for E15 and E85, there have been several discussions over the past couple years by people who know a lot more about it than I know. Here's a recent thread:

Any car without a flex fuel composition sensor will be a sub-optimum tune but they are sub-optimum the day theyre made. E10 is a different stoic than the programmed in 14.7:1. E15 will be something like 13.7:1. When you tune your car you change the stoic for the area you live in. If you're at E10, then your WOT should be tuned to 12.3 or so if the stoic wasnt changed. Thats why some dyno results show lower than expected results when they tune for 13:1 with E10 in the tank.

The issue of hurting the engine was myth busted long ago when 1999 vehicles were made to use it with no Ill effects after 110k miles upon tear down. Alcohol that is more corrosive is methanol. Ethanol isnt anywhere near as corrosive but seems to be condemned by those who use the term alcohol interchangeably with the two types. Every part on every C6 is fully compatable with E85.
