Another squeaky left front brake
A few weeks ago I noticed my left front brake started to squeak. Now this is nothing new for Corvettes but my brake kept squeaking long after I took my foot off the pedal.
On my way back from Laguna Seca this past Friday I discovered that if I gave the brake pedal a firm push the squeak would stop only to start after I hit a bump.
Not a big deal now that I know how to control the squeak but I wanted your opinion as what is causing the prolonged squeak. I'm using new Hawk blue pads and DBA rotors and the car has 36,000 miles on it.
Not to put ideas in your head but is it possible that the brake caliper needs repair or replacement?
