Does anybody know where to find the hot wire for the headlights. I recently bought a flameball shift **** that can illuminate at night and wanted to hard wire it in with head so when headlights come at night so will my shift **** and visa versa. I am guessing that I should be looking for the twilight sentinel wire on/off on the relay ?
If they stayed on, then the battery would go dead all the time when you weren't in the car. You also don't need the shift **** to light up during the day either.
Doesn't the instrument lights stay on full time just get brighter during the day ?

Let me Re-Phrase
Doesn't the instrument lights stay on full time (with the ignition on ) and just get ( twilight sentinel mode ) brighter during daytime/dimmer at night ?
the easiest source would be to tap the interior lighting circuit, if you pop out the panel for the hatch/ gas cap release buttons you will notice a brown wire going to each switch, splice your shift ***** wiring into either one and it will only receive power when you turn the lights on. you can route your new behind your gauge bezel and under your center console to get to the shifter boot area.
let me know if you have any trouble removing any pieces or locating the wire
