It is a small thing, but it kind of bugs me. The speed displayed on the analog speedometer shows one mile an hour faster than the digital HUD.
I had a 2005 before with HUD and the two were precisely, exactly the same. My current 2007 has the one mile an hour difference. It is there at all speed ranges.
So the question is, can the dealer do a reset or reflash that will correct this? Or is it within normal tolerance?
I hate to be ****-retentive, but I can't help but notice this little thing.
Is it worth exploring ... I am still under warranty. Or do I just live with it?
Just to mess with your **** retentive mind; You realize that the speedometer is only accurate at one point in the rear tire wear range? Either new, half worn, fully worn or somewhere in between can the tire diameter be precisely related to the cars exact speed.
Good points guys. Thanks. The only reason I even really noticed it was because my 2005 seemed to always be exactly the same ... at any speed, with new or bald rear tires. Not that I compared every day (I'm not that ****), but any time I did compare ... like on the highway for a while, it was spot on.
