brake light relay

brake light relay

when brakes are applied or released I can hear the relay clicking,the dealer says it's normal. Whats the solution? Thanks, Ron J

install loud exhaust is the fix. ive never noticed it. only thing i hear is the top creeking and popping

I noticed the same thing right away. I've been told it's normal too. Dealer I purchased from said it started making that click with the '10 model.

I have an 07 that clicks, its the relay that gm choose, if you take it out and go to any parts store they can source you a quiet one

I was under the impression that the BCM controlled the brake lights, not a separate relay.???

The relay mentioned is installed on the BCM. It is located right next to the fuses on the BCM. On the back side of the BCM is the reverse lights relay. Both are "TYCO" brand relays.
