Lowering F55

Sucks, I was just about to got look at a 08 with F55, but this may change my mind.
The way to properly lower the car and retain full travel is with coilovers. This system would supersede the OEM dampers and leaf springs. At bare minimum, you can also purchase shocks that have slightly more travel engineered into them, to help out with lowering on the OEM bolts.
Let me know if you have any questions.
The azz end was jacked way up in the air and there was a huge gap between the tire and the fender well, especially in the rear.I lowered it in the front not quite all the way down, and in the rear all the way down on the stock bolts. The rear was still not where I wanted it, so I cut the bushings.
I drove the car that way for about 35,000 miles, and I sold the car to my brother-in-law 2 years ago and he has put another 10,000 or 15,000 miles on it roads in the northeast. The car has no problems at all being lowered on cut bushings.
I've got the F55 equivalent on my ZR1 now - but it sits perfect just the way it came off the assembly line!!
I say - if you want to lower a car with F55, go ahead and lower it. If getting where you want it means you need to cut the bushings or install aftermarket bolts, go ahead. My experience is that there's absolutely no bad effects on the F55 from lowering it.

My '05 Coupe and '06 Z06 were DSOM, but they discontinued it after the 2006 model year.

After all, I do live in Daytona!
I would like to have my ZR1 in that color as well, but it's not available anymore, so I had to settle for Cyber Gray.
