Default quick exhaust question..

I am in the process of looking for some borla stingers for my GS. The question is if I get headers 1 7/8 with a 3inch output x will any z06 catback work?

meaning, does the z catback not fit on the GS at all given that I get the 3in output on the x?

This is the header package I am ganna go with...

http://marylandspeed.com/vararam-cai...04-p-1602.html

On the first drop down tab select...the last one(fits ls3 and ls7)
on the second tab select...the last one (fits 2006+ ls7)

will this package fit?

also...

If I put this package on my GS and I get a used z06 borla stinger catback will all years of the z work?

I know its a little confusing..Thanks for the help.

Mike

Default Pretty much...

but an earlier post stated the A6 has some fitment iisue clearing the tranny/diff., but poster said he had a muffler shop do a lil' bending & worked it out. For 6MN, should be bolt on, w/ very tight fitment same area per SpinMonster, which he's running this setup, albeit on an '05 I believe.

The area of concern is that the 2009+ c6 has a different over the axel route....If I get a z06 stinger system will it make it over the axels and connect to the z06 x pipe? I know it works for the 2008 c6 but the route changed in 09.

Default Have to defer...

I'm afraid I can't educatedly discuss, I'm aware of the '09 change as I have '08 NPPs on an '05, I know the same will work w/ Z06 pipes. After '09 & up not sure.

The answer is yes.....if you keep it all 3in (x pipe and axleback) it will work....

Thanks for looking and

if you are considering a 3 inch exhaust on your 09+ ls3 a z06 x will work and the z06 aftermarket or stock axleback will work....It will work best with the 09+ specific 3in x but, both will work....
