OK, I need some help as to what could have happened.
The 06 coupe with a five month old battery is parked for about 4 hours and the battery is dead, would not even lite the underhood light.
After connecting jumper cables it did not turn over, nothing. After several minutes, it started.
The next day I go to see the people where I purchased the battery. They check the charging system and the battery and tell me there is no problem, everything looks normal, no corrosion on the battery terminals at all.

WTF could have happened?
Is your car a manual? I seem to remember hearing issues on here with manual C6s, but I could be mistaken. I would do a search in the Tech section.
It could be a dead or shorted cell in the battery. Next step would be to have a load test done on the battery. Once had this issue with a brand new red top Optima.
How did they check the battery? I had one short out while I was in a store for 15 minutes. Car had been running fine for months, stopped at the store and 15 minutes later the starter solenoid wouldn't even click but there were lots of other funny noises from the dash. After having the car towed to the dealership they determined my one year old battery had shorted out.
