H/C LS3 goes from fast to REALLY fast!!!
I've been super busy lately, and have not posted much, but thought I would check in for a minute.
I recently went with a Aviad LS-A stage 2 dry sump setup to go with my forged/stock cube H/C LS3. I had a slight oil leak on the pan, and was advised by Gary at ARE dry sump systems to make sure the windagetray was out when we changed the gasket. It is not only unneeded with the aftermarket 2 stage oil dry sump pan, but robs you of HP. Picture trying to run in water vs doing it on dry land. No more resistance on your rotating assembly.
The car pulled nice and hard before we pulled the tray, 500-520 RWHP, depending on the dyno. I got in the car to drive home, and was VERY surprised when I hit the go pedal and broke my Toyo R888s loose much sooner then I had in the past. I got on it again, and was simply amazed at how quick the car reved up now. I've got a pretty good Butt meter, and my SOTP tells me I picked up more then just a few ponies, this thing SCREAMS!!!
I know, I know, take it to the track...
Hopefully, weather permitting, we have a potential private track day this weekend.
I've got a brand new set of MT 305/35/18 drag radials ready to go. I'll follow up with vids if the track day happens.

Sweet. I want to get to the 525-575 RWHP point but I guess I just go with a SC. I thought about H/C setup but there was no room to grow, to do it right I think I would be spending a lot more $$$, and I'm not sure how it would be for the street. Anyway thats awesome. Congrats.

I like the description that Gary at ARE gave. Picture a small outboard motor on a boat. Say you are cruising along at half throttle, and you were to pull the motor/prop back out of the water. It would REV hard!
